I wanted to post this information one last time as I've cleaned it up and added one based on a recent posting. I sold my 80 27 last month. I found this forum 7 or 8 years ago and it has been a great asset to me as an owner. I will continue to lurk until I find out what forum I belong in with my next boat. Frankly I'm looking at the Beneteau 361 as it offers 6'4" headroom and I need it. I have seen people asking for this information frequently since I don't know when. Hopefully one of you can assume the role of custodian of the Renault list. There are still a few of them chugging around and every new owner seems to show up here with questions. San Leon gone, but...
George at San Leon, TX, is out of the game. As far as I know, he sold his stock to Mermaid, but I haven't been able to contact them, via phone or via email. HOWever, this guy in Britain is going strong: http://www.renaultcouach.com/ He sez he ships to the states every week! Haven't ordered from him, but may order a couple of water pump impellors. IF you don't have one or two of these puppies, GET THEM. I wasn't able to find a replacement in the Jabasco catalog, and my yard (Crowleys Yacht Yard here in Chicago, a real gem) wasn't able to find them either.
