What is the best way to close off unused thru- hulls? I have two of them, the old gate valve type. Can I just fill the hole with 3M 5200, until I remove them and glass over ?
I assume you mean filling the shut off valve. Are the valves currently leaking? If so, I would worry about a catastrophic failure and the boat going down. Are you on the hard now? If so, maybe this should go on the top of the list to either replace the valves or glass over the holes before spring. Fair winds, Jim
