Now I've gone and done it! Before winter layup I removed a bulkhead mounted wind instrument from my 35.5 so I could send it back to the factory for repair. I covered the 4" diameter hole in the fiberglas with a piece of scrap fiberglas I found which I cemented in the 4 corners [and elsewhere I think in retrospect] with silicone adhesive. I figured it was only temporary and I would remove the patch easily in the Spring. Now I can't get it off . . I'm afraid to work a strong solvent in along the the patch edges for fear that it might affect the gelcoat and I really can't seem to find something sharp like a razor blade that is long enough and bent at an angle so I can jimmy it down in back of the patch and cut the silicone free. If I am able to cut it free, what can I use clean up the residue without dulling the gelcoat?Any ideas?Fred MillerS/V M SquaredAny suggestions would be "superly" appreciated
