I've spend hours trying to get the salon table off my F235. it requires the removal of the compression post that transfers the load of the mast to the keel, but how is it done? Does eny body have an exploded diagram of the sampson post? or have you ever removed it? the factory says it's a nested combination of two tubes. Beneteau implies i can do it with the mast stepped - if i am careful and don't leave it like that. i planned on removing the post, slipping the table of and putting the post back. with the 4 lower lag screws out, and the locknuts off the underside of the mast step removed (3/8 of the bolt ends showing) i cannot budge a thing.

Shroud Tension

Have you released the shroud tension? Put a beam across the table along the cieling, then brace this up with a couple of posts, then drive wedges between the beam and the post to lift the cabin top slightly. This will remove the load from the compresson post. Carfull where you place the post so they don't go through the floor or the hull. Good luck.
