Does anyone know how to remove the factory installed outside genoa tracks? They appear to have been installed in the top part of the deck before the hull and deck were bonded together at the factory. I have used a mirror to see the bolts be the gap is not big enough to get a socket up to them. Has anyone taken these off?

Genoa Track Removal

Chris While I don't have the outside genoa tracks, I do have full length perforated aluminum toe rails which need rebedding REAL bad and I think are mounted in the same location as your tracks. I too believe they were installed on the deck before the deck and hull were joined. The majority of my bolts are hidden, in the cabin, between the hull liner and the hull itself with a small portion visible in the gap that you mentioned ( I hope I'm talking about the same place). My plan is to use a Dremel tool to rout away the hull liner just enough to be able to get on the nut with a wrench or socket. It goes without saying that this removal will be a two person job: one to hold the screwdriver and the other to turn the boat :) If ,after the job is complete, the aesthetics aren't pleasing then I'll probably cover the routed area with a teak molding.
