Has anyone removed the 50 gal water tank on a hunter 310 1997? Looks hard and I'd appreciate any advice.

I have been trying without success to get to my water tank sending unit on a Hunter 31 also at Carlyle. Despite removing every wood screw that I can find on the panels under the mattresses in the vee berth that cover the water tank I am stymied by the A/C duct close out that will not let me remove the last panel. The slider rails for the cut out in the bedding will not let me lift the tank cover up and out unless I figure out a way to remove the last panel pinched under the A/C closeout
