my sinks are also under mounted, you need to remove the counter top. i have a 2001 and i noticed at the sail show 4 years ago they changed to drop in sinks. my boat is now discontinued.
Just this last weekend pulled my sinks and replaced the counter tops. There are 6 clips 2 on the long sides and 1on each end. On mine they did not use them. I have seen on a friends they did. If you get a flash light and look up under the sink you will see them. A small flat screwdriver will bend them down if there used. As stated in an earlier post silicone is what holds it flat. If they are set under the counter pulling the counter top is the only way.
I pulled my sink out a few years ago. Water on the counter kept seeping into the cabinet underneath. The sink was held down by big gobs of silicone, and the hold down hardware was not used. When I lifted the sink out, underneath it was written in pencil on the plywood, "Rush Job". Imagine that!
