Removing fuel pickup on 280

Has anyone removed the fuel pickup tube to remove the screen on a 280. I think mine is clogged and was wondering if there is enough room to get it out of the tank.

IIRC, the tank is accessed behind a wall in the aft berth.

i did not pull mine out, but once you get access to the top of the tank, you will be able to see how much room you have.

i had a leak (fill hose I think) that I had to address, so had to gain access.
