Removing Engine From an 8.5 S2

The engine in an S2 is accessed by a panel in the aft berth. I realized that the engine will not come out through the access panel so I removed the access panel wall. I have disconnected the engine and it is ready to take out. Does anyone know how to lift the engine out? You cannot get into the compartment to lift it.

Hmmmm...good question. Unbolt your engine mounts and somehow slide it forward onto some beams (or a $20 carpeted dolly...I had a 340 on one so it can take the weight) then lift it out using your main sheet off the boom? If the angle isn't too much it will probably start moving once you get the front up a bit then you can fit a 2x4 under the back to lift it up and ease it forward.
