Removing cockpit floor H31 1997

Hi

Has anybody removed the removable cockpit floor covering on a H31 1997 model ?

I have undone all the screws and can pull it up about a foot at the rear but it seems to be caught near the pedestal.

It seems like it has a lip at the front that is caught around the steering components.

Any ideas would be appreciated as I'd prefer not to have to remove the pedestal itself.

Hi

Ive posted some pics that may help explain the issue.

The cover is at the rear of the pedestal

The cable wiring under the cover and is where is suspect the water is leaking into the aft cabin

I can't get o the wiring without removing the cover, I can raise the cover from the rear about 1 foot up in the air but can't remove the cover because its is either locked in somehow at the front or gets wedged by the pedestal and I'd rather not touch/ have to dismantle the steering / pedestal..

Seems a bit pointless having a removable cover if you have to take half the boat apart to remove it.

Solved

Just pull it back and then lift off at the front to get the lip to clear the steering bits.

Now fixed the wiring loom leak having cleared 15 years of dirt / crud/ hair / feathers etc
