Removing Battery Boxes on French Built Boats

I have a French built 423 with the factory installed plastic battery boxes for the service batteries in front of the engine. I want to replace these with two larger AGM batteries to increase the amp hours but will mean removing the boxes and securing the bateries some other way. Does anyone have experience of doing that ? Do the boxes come out easily ? Thanks

They should come out easily or just cut them away.

I have only start battery in the front of engine on my boat. Leisure batteries are located under the bed in aft cabin.
