I would like to lift my Universal M-25 diesel to clean and paint underneath as well as to replace the engine mounts. Can anyone describe the process of lifting the engine? Thanks, Bill

I did this on my 30 2yrs ago. I didn't use the boom, just put a 4x4 across the hatch opening and lifted the engine on that. ( the boom might be a better option in your case) THe K-50 engine mounts made a big difference in the noise levels-much lower. You'll have to open up the holes on the K-50 mounts if your replacing the original mounts. Good luck

Dead lift

Im still spunkey i just grab and lift them out even if you use the boom to lift you still have to move it out of the way to work. And there is no good place to keep the engine if its not in the dam hole. Its funny the guys at the dock wouldent think of pulling a motor with out me.I think two guys could lift a m25 easy .Ive pulled truck moters the same way but i like to take the trans off John
