Removing a Goiot Wheel (1983 vinage)

I need to remove the wheel on a Beneteau 38. It's a Goiot, common to french botas I assume. Looks like there is a "pin" through the hub and splined shaft. Anyone have any experience with this? Just drive it out? Thanks!

Maybe use a punch

I believe you need to just drive it out, like you suggested. Use a punch and go slow - use some WD40 or similar if it appears to be seized. Take you time. Best, Trevor

It worked!

Thanks for the feedback. This wheel was held in buy a roll pin. A wd-40 soak and a 1/4-in punch did the trick. Not a great system - I'll look at a good machine shop to re-work over the winter. Thanks.
