There is NO room in the bathroom on my hunter 260, I would like to remove the sink. Has anyone done this? any thoughts or advice?
It loos to be a modeled unit attached to the hull

if I cut just the sink part out how is it attached and where

It's likely fiberglass attached to or part of the floor pan/interliner. Could be a structural part of the hull stiffening. I would get some professional advice from a boat builder or surveyor who has built boats to see how to glass in the remaining pieces to the hull/floor.

No closet just bigger bathroom (wide stance),
there is a "storage space" in back 1' wide 4' tall and 4' deep I may put a tank in and a marine toilet
But no jst looking for leg room
and the one guy at hunter(marlow hunter) that was answering these question about the "older boats" is no longer with them, sooooo
I am out here looking for wisdom and direction

Crazy Dave Condon (on this forum) is a former Hunter Dealer and has participated in some of the design of these boats.... you could ask him. Personally I kind of like the sink... but I did think it odd (but nice) to have two sinks in such a small boat.

A strange (but maybe fun) thing to think about would be to turn that sink space into a urinal :)

... and here is one for @Kermit

It would be totally illegal without a holding tank but you already have a through hull :pimp:

... I guess you could put a holding tank under the urinal..... not a project on my to-do list but if someone were to do it, I'd certainly like seeing the design and construction photos.

While somebody would surely take offense besides Kermit, a video of that red plastic thing spinning around would be pretty funny.

Well I'm not sure it's much worse than you eating bugs....

Maybe I should rewrite my signature line: "I'm a sailor, not a frog." Naaaaaaaa Just wouldn't be the same.

I just looked at the sink in my H260. Seems pretty molded into the liner. You'll need an Apollo-era electrical engineer and two slide rules to figure that one out.

I am not sure why the owner wants to remove the sink if only for more room but when the boat was being designed, it was not only to have a traditional sink in the head but that was a preference by the women to wash hands, brush their hair and so on. In addition should the sink be removed, resale value will go down the tube and many will veer away from purchasing the boat. If the owner should persist in removing the sink, to leave the bulkhead alone to the right and most definitnely the floor as he would be getting into structural issues. If removed there would have to be work to hide removal on a professional standpoint.

It looks like there was some spillage beside the glass. Who's gonna clean that up?
