I am trying to remove the cabin lights on my 2000 H260 and need some help before just tearing them off! There are no outwardly visable screws or tabs to remove the fixture. Is it held in the headliner with spring loaded ears on the light fixture itself? If so what is the best method of removing? Ultimately I'm trying to replace the bulb with a LED to see if it provides enought light to continue through the entire boat.

On my 1996 H26 the lens was tabbed. It just snapped into the fixture base. They were kind of a bowl shaped design. I took a small flat head screw driver between the lens and fixture and gently pried it apart. The fixture mounting screws where then exposed.

Not sure about your boat but many are held in with springs. You have to use a screw driver to pull them down till you can get your fingers under them then just pull them out. Oh yeah watch out when they come out those springs will bite your fingers like a mouse trap lol (Don't ask how I know) Once you have them down a bit hold the springs with the other hand to save you from becoming the mouse! Good luck

To remove the lens I just went with a small screw driver or knife blade between housing and the lens popped out. Put LED light in.
No screws there.
