remote shifter

Anyone ever rig a remote shifter on an outboard. Coming into my slip, I have a hard time turning and reaching thru the stern rail to shift into reverse. The dock can't take much more abuse. Or, has anyone added a factory remote shifter and throttle. Is it much trouble?ThanksJim

Remote Contol

I once owned a 23' American that had a 15 hp electric start engine with remote controls. Was nice to be able to control the engine without reaching over the transom.Most engines of 5 hp or better can be equipped with remote controls. Check eBay for good prices.Bill
