what is your take on installing a kit to move the oil filter to a more accessable location. On my Passage 42, the filter is on the back side of the engine from the engine access. A remote kit would allow easier and less messy changes. bw
A remote filter can do no harm and it sure would make it easier to change the filter and catch those drips. Some manufacturers provide kits for such a change. Let us know what engine you have and we might be able to steer you to the right kit.
A remote filter kit is available, Part # M310, and sells for $332.00. Each kit has a filter head adapter, two 39" high pressure hoses and a mounting bracket for use on the 4JH series engines. Let us know when you want one.
