Hello All, After looking in the Archives, (Stu, I honestly looked :)), I am wondering if anyone has used a remote oil filter for a 1983 Universal M25. If you have found one for purchase; could you please tell me; where did you get it, how much was it, what is it made of, and how do you like it. It is getting time to change my oil again and I swore the last time that I would fix the oil filter location problem the next time. If I have to make one I wonder if it would be prudent to make one that handles a larger oil filter, for "better filtration", I currently use a FRAM PH3593A. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Everyone, and have a great Thanksgiving. Jack

M25 Remote Oil Filter Idea

Jack Thnaks for looking :) I have never heard of one, although we've only owned our M25 and the surrounding boat for 5 1/2 years. You could try the message board on the C34 website. We're told we have a lot of engineers in that group! I understand the complexity, and I too use th shorter filters than the standard Universal ones because of the new alternator bracket, but have not had trouble removing the filter when doing oil changes.
