Anyone have success in relocating the galley sink drain on the older Hunter 25 (Mk 1)?The original boat had a flimsy-looking piece of 1" RV-grade tubing extending back to the rudder skeg, this to ensure that the hull outlet was near centre and would drain on either tack. It was not a dumb idea but does not look like there was ever room for a seacock on it. And it's an unecessarily long run of hose.Has anyone moved this to a more traditional location (like just aft of the steps) and had it drain well on starboard tack? Some people might say it's overkill but I don't think ANY outlet below the boot stripe should ever NOT have a fully reliable (and accessible) seacock through-bolted to the hull. It's an easily-justified hundred bucks and the installation is not that difficult.(While we're at it-- and especially if these seacocks are nylon-- let's be sure to have tapered wooden plugs hanging on lanyards within reach for when the seacock fitting snaps off from abuse or corrosion or deficient quality and starts sinking the boat. Keep a rubber mallet on board for this purpose as well!)JC 2
