Relocating fuel tank on 1994 hunter 35.5 legend

Previous owner removed original fuel tank, was between stern lazarette's under swim step. It appears putting one in that location is very difficult, any suggestions on another area of the boat?
If possible, maybe providing a sketch or diagram would be great and appreciated?

Hi Keith,
I own a 1990 Hunter 35.5 Legend. I don't have a diagram; however, my 25 gallon fuel tank is located in the port storage locker beside the swim step. Although it takes up space, it is easily accessible and I also carry 2 x 20 litre jerry cans of diesel, 1 x 10 litre jerry can and 1 x 5 litre jerry can of gasoline. There is still room to put stuff on top of the tank should I desire.

My port storage locker contains the propane unit for the stove an is semi sealed in. That is exactly where I would like to put it.

For what it's worth, when I had to change out my holding tank on my 32 Vision, the issue was I could not install a replacement tank of the same size since it would not fit in the access hatch. My solution was to install two tanks and Siamese the tanks together. Might be something to consider if that's your issue. Would be almost like having a big baffle.

Question how did you Siamese them together? I gave the same issue and don't want to start carving up the boat. Do you have any photos
