I bought a new engine instrument panel to move the VERY old fashioned Yanmar panel, which has a key, a light and a de-compression cable. The engine is a Yanmar YSE12M.
The new panel has a tach, water temp and fuel level gages that were not part of the old panel. Does anyone know what I will need to add to make it all work? Tech support at Catalina Direct said something about a tach pickup on the alternator or somewhere on the engine...anyone know what he was talking about? Would anyone know what water temp pickup I will need to get? Lastly, is there a fuel level sender that I can install in the tank to drive the fuel gage?
Thanks to everyone for all of the past and future help. Hopefully all of the work will be worth it when I am finished.
