registration no. on a S2 8.0cc

Love the S2 site! I have a S2 8.0 CC. I have to do a rubbing for the State to document my boat number. There was mix up on one letter. I need to find the documentation plate with the number. Anybody got a good idea where it might be on the boat? Thanks!

The hull ID number (HIN) is on the stern in the upper right hand corner just below the corner of the toe rail.
