I am completely refurbishing a C22 with an Iron Keel. The keel has Iron bubbles with rust under the bubbles. I have hammered the keel knocking off rust and bubbles, wire brushing keel to a shine. The keel now has many pockets and lamination parting. Wipe down keel with acetone. Using an epoxy based filler, to fill holes and sand keel to a smooth surface then gel coat. Am I missing any steps? Boat will be trailered and not left in water more than 3 to 5 days at a time.
