We have the refrigerator standard with the Hunter 340 (1998). It is very hard to open for me, and almost impossible for my kids to open. Thought about placing wider, stronger "pulls" to open ... currently only have one narrow "pull" that kills my hand while opening. Any easy fix suggestions? Thanks, Stuart

Piston Problem?
Does your fridge door/hatch have pneumatic pistons? It's possible that it is worn. If so, disconnect it and check the tension on the piston as well as the door when it is disconnected.

Have the same situation
Remove one of the latches. You should have two holding the refrig cover down. Keep the one you have removed since the life of the latch that is left will be reduced.

Will check
the piston, think it's ok. Had previously removed one of the latches. Think it's broken, will see if I can get another from Hunter. Maybe that's the problem. Thanks,
