Depends on lots of things. How much power does the fridge draw, how much battery capacity do you have, and how long are you talking about. Overnight, a weekend, ect. Find out how much power your fridge draws. Should be a tag that gives either amps or watts. Watts divided by 12 will give you the amps. Figure out how much of the time the fridge runs. 30% of the time, 20% of the time. This will give you the total amp hours it uses. Then divide that by the amp hours of your battery bank. This will give you a pretty close time frame. Remember, you should not draw your batteries down below 50%, or it will greatly shorten their lifespan.

Depends on the fridge

Hello, My fridge is a Seafrost Engine Driven model. So, it won't work if the engine is off! I assume that you have an electrical mode. If so, it can be used when the engine is off. How long is can be used with the engine off is another question. As previously written, that depends on how big your battery bank is, how much power your fridge requires, and how often your fridge will run. Good luck, Barry

After you calculate your power draw and capacity

there are a couple of things you can do to strech the time you can use your fridge. a) Pre-cool the refrigerator at the dock with shore power. A compressor will run continously until it reaches it's preset thermostat temperature. After that it settles into a cycle pattern to preserve that temperature. b) A full refrigerator is more efficient than an empty one. c) Freeze foods at home and take them into your boat fridge. d) The least you open the door or lid the better it will maintain temperature with the least cycling. e) Schedule recharging sessions. Keep your refrigerator running in order to support (a). If you let it warm up, it will cost you to cool it back down. f) Keep the coils clean and well ventilated.
