The refrigerated ice box lids 'leaks'. When the box is well chilled condensation in found on the couter top around the lid. What can I do to repair this? Thanks in advance...Judi
Judi:If you have a home improvement center in the area they have weather striping available. The stuff that I got from Home Depot was made for Door or Windows. You just peel the backing off and stick it to the lid and/or the counter top.
The weather stripping works well. I got some very thin weather stripping that actually has 3 ridges on it - to form a good seal (I hope to form 3 good seals). The fact that it is thin is good - this keeps the lid from being lifted up.I also had to add some insulation around the lid and on the lid itself. I used a form of blue foam sold in rolls and some silver stuff that looks like bubble wrap also sold in rolls. Look at a big home improvement center near you. This I glued to inside of the top and lid. I used both where I could, and the blue foam where space was an issue. This solved the problem.
