We have struggled with bringing cases of various types of sodas on board and then having to deal with the empty cans/bottles.
Last spring we purchased a SodaStream system. Now we use the water on board and make our own sodas and mixes. They taste great and this has eliminated the need to carry on board cases of drinks and them to have to dispose of the empties.
This is a great eco solution and it is cheaper than buying cans/bottles.
Unfortunately they do not do beer.

Bummer...

We just squeeze the middles of our cans and stomp on 'm, flatten 'em out. Takes up lots less space. Don't do it on your teak & holly sole (we have a small rug in our galley). :)

We used to throw our empties out the jump plane's door, 'til the local police came to the drop zone.
After that, we switched to aluminum cans. :D

I keed, too!

Ya know, this thread gets me thinking. The only sailboat mod I haven't seen on this forum yet is an old fashioned, D.C. powered, frat house style, built in kegerator system!

Hmmm... off to the workshop... and to buy bigger batteries!:)
