Cleaning is available..
at just abaout any sail loft and is relatively inexpensive. My ususal loft (North Sails in Manasquan, NJ) includes winter storage and cleaning in a single fee. I don't remember the exact amount, but it was not expensive at all. There have been a lot of posts recently, however, abour cleaning and re-resining to revitalize sails. This is different than just cleaning. From what I've been able to find out, this process is only available from Sail Care in PA. Sail Care's website is www.sailcare.com. I've not used them before, but I've read lots of good things about the results people have gotten from them. In fact, tere is a positive article in the most recent issue (#99-4) of DIY Boat (a Canadian publication) about Sail Care's process. DIY Boat is on the web at http://www.diy-boat.com, but I don't know if the new issue is there yet (I only got it yesterday). My sails are there now, so hopefully there is some truth and not just hype about the results.
