The screws that fasten the bracket holding my Autohelm drive motor to the Edson wheel steering pedestal have worked loose and in the process stripped the holes. Does anyone know of a good method for refastening the bracket without having to drill larger holes? Is there some kind of plug I can use to patch over the existing holes and then redrill the pilot holes for the original screws?

My original screws loosend and wallowed out after less than a year. Intalled heli coils and Loctite and haven't had any problem since (three years).

I just ordered two...
One for the stern GPS and one for the bow GPS. This way, with 2 GPS systems on my boat, I can determine the exact length for pulling into a slip. Never will I have to rely on a person on the bow of my 27 foot boat telling me if I am too close to the slip. Everyone should have two GPS systems on their boats. One on the bow and one on the stern. *o
