My Hunter is equipped with a Reefing system. My concern is that my "sail slides" in the mast do not come down low enough to hook the grommet, or cringle to the boom hook. Should I let the "sail slide" come down so that two of the "sail slides" come out of the track? With that, giving the sail the ability to now attach to the hook on the boom,which was once too short. This seems logical, but at the same time having a couple "sail slides" out of the track seems sort of inapproriate. Any advice is appreciated.
