Reducing thru-hull hole

My current notmeter (that's not a typo, we named it that cause it's not working...again) transducer thru-hull is 2 1/8 in diameter. We're getting a new brand with a 1 7/8 diameter thru-hull, so we've got to reduce the size of the hole in the hull. Anyone out there ever do this, and if so, how? Many thanks.

Drilled a new one.

I know how to reduce the size of the hole but chose not to. With my new Nexus transducers I just went to the other side of the centerline with new holes. My old transducers still work and remain in use. But even if they did not I probably would not have messed with the old ones. To reduce the size of the hole you basically fill it and redrill. Find a recent thread on one of the other forums about "removing a thru-hull". It was covered in detail there.
