This is for Jon in Key West and anybody else who may be considering red VC-17 bottom paint...During the discussion on rusty iron keels about two weeks ago, I mentioned that I had just sanded, primed and repainted my keel as part of the overall bottom job on my H23. The antifouling paint I used was red VC-17 (it was the only color left in the Boat/US store) and a few people wanted to know how it looked. It is a dull coppery red and it looks OK to me. If anyone would like a picture, feel free to e-mail me: oneprof@magicnet.net, and I will send you a .jpeg photo file, which you can open with MS Word, Wordperfect 7 or 8 and possibly your web browser.Peter Suah "Raven"
