Can anyone tell me if you have a fuse on your red bilge pump wire? I'm having trouble getting my bilge to run on auto. and my boat is 28 miles away at present and cannot verify myself until tomorrow. Any info. and location of fuse appreciated.

Fused bilge wire.

The early boats were not delivered with a fuse in the "hot" wire. I spliced in one of those rubberized fuse holders. Maybe a previous owner did the same. Take a meter with a sharp probe so that you can test the wire. I think the original "hot" wire came out of the back of the battery switch if you have one. It has to originate at or before the battery switch in order to be "on" all of the time. You do not want to leave the boat with the battery switch on. Well at least I never do.
