I'm re-powering my '78 Catalina 30 with a yanmar. The new engine is 28 hp at 3600 rpm with 2.6/1 redution. Based on measurments taken from other Catalina 30's I think I can swing up to 14". What prop would be recommended for this setup?
go to a good prop shop and let them run your info thru there computer. you will want to put the largest diamater blade on what will fit and adjust pitch.just remember good info in good info out. so be sure you have good spec before using a computer program.
