I've recently purchase a 2007 Hunter 31 and was wondering if there is a particular brand and model of dinghy davits that would fit nicely given the transom shape. Anyone have some they like? Brett
You might want to check out those offered by Kato Marine Metals. Very nice stuff and good people. I know they've sold their Islander series davits for use on newer Hunters 36 and bigger.
Cant help you with the davits but was wondering if you have any problems with your CO monitors? I have a 2006 Hunter 31 and the monitors chirp when the water pump is on. Miss New London though, used to live on Pequot avenue. Where do you keep your boat? We live on lake champlain, NY and will one day soon come down to the sound via the canal system and hudson. Good luck!
CO2 monitors ar ehooked directly to the batteries instead of a small dry cell like the smoke detectors. If you are drawing a lot of amps with other uses the CO2's SHOULD chirp, its a sign of low voltage getting to them.
We got a slip at Crocker's Boatyard on Howard St. Very sheltered behind the RR bridge. Our broker doesn't think davits would be too good an idea on our size boat. Too much weight aft. Brett
