Hi, I'm looking for a recommendation in the Marina del Rey area for a good rigger. So far, the ones I have dealt with are too tempermental--job too small, job too big, job too hard, job too complicated etc. etc. etc. I just want a good, reliable and reasonable person to help me out with the traveller and other rigging issues. See the link. I have had satisfactory experience with Fred Huffman (larger jobs) and Mary Ellen Rose (smaller jobs). I have had unsatisfactory service from some others who are not on the list. Haven't used anyone in a while, which is a good thing since getting call backs is problematical. I have also used Intrepid Marine several times for things like replacing the masthead wind indicator, etc. However, I do not know their rig tuning skills: Intrepid Marine Yacht Rigging & Service 4226-1/2 Glencoe Ave. Marina del Rey, CA 90292 Tel: (310) 827-7686 Fax: (310) 827-8746 (They usually call back and have given pretty good service.)
