I am in the process of cleaning the interior of my Catalina 27. Was curious to hear what Catalina owners are using to oil/treat their interior teak.

Thanks

Derek.-

TSP is a good cleaner, there are many others

and we use teak oil for the wood. many others varnish. All depends on what YOU like to see on YOUR boat.

My wife and I are using Teak Oil, but we wait until we are about to leave the boat before we do a section. The smell is gone by the time we return. We have a 27 ft. Catalina.

I was going to go with an oil, not planning on a varnish or a urethane finish at this point. Has anyone used Teakguard on the interior?

Scott Liquid gold

We have a 1988 Catalina 30. We use an ordinary cleaner then rub in the Scotts Liquid Gold.
this leaves a nice oil type finish. not glossy or varnished in appearance. We had previuously tried pledge and lemon oil treatments, but the Liquid Gold Leaves a rich tone. Once a season is enough.

Derek,

We sail a cat. 22 and have used teakguard both inside and out . This is a great product. Inside it has lasted over four years and still looks great. You will find that it takes more than the four coats that they call for. I use about eight to ten coats. Be sure to use the cleaner that they sell first. It dries very fast and it is water clean up. You will not be sorry that you tryed it.
