rebeding teak boards

I removed the teak from around the hatch opening in order to refinish it. Do I have to put any sealant around the screws when I put it back on the boat? If I do what would be the best to use, so I can remove the teak in the future? Thanks Dale

Do you sail in salt water or fresh?

I sail in fresh water now and I have just used a good grade of exterior window caulking from the hardware store. I have done this with very good success.When we were liveaboard cruisers on our IP 38 in the gulf etc. I used 4200. I found the 101 standard bedding compound way to tacky for way too long. We resealed the entire cabintop and it worked well. Just don't use std window caulking in salt water or you'll be rewarded with leaks.Ray
