I wrote earlier if anyone has had success finding out how to remove the Stancions on an O'day 34/35 particularly near the chainplates at the starbord side hanging locker. Rudy @ D&R tells me that they are through bolted, but I can't find the nuts on the underside. Any success stories would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Barry

Same problem on 37

I have a couple of bent stanchions I would like to remove and straighten or replace. But I can't. Looking at stanchions in other parts of the boat (the two in question are midships) they do appear to be well through-bolted with backing plates. But the ones I want to remove also appear to be glassed over from under the deck and the nuts impossible to get at. The only soklution I could think of was to through-drill the bolts. But they are stainless and it's a herculaen job on which I gave up. I have been thinking about asking a motorcycle frame shop to try and straighten them out in situ. Sorry I can't be nmore help but I will certainly watch other responses.
