Rear bunk position on trailer for 26X

I recently had an old timer tell me that if I did not get a bigger trailer that had the rear most bunk under the transom I would break the boat in half. I've seen 26X on factory trailer and the position seems to be aprox 4 ft as mine is from the transom of the boat. Please advise scott

I don't have an X, and I don't know how much engine you are hauling, but I think he may be relating it to a power boat.

You are OK

I have a 26X with the stock trailer set up as yours, and recently made a 1500 mile haul with it. No problems except seems to be a bit light on the tongue. Never heard of a Mac breaking in half. Worst I have heard about was when someone tried to drive up the ramp with a full ballast and the boat slipped onto the cement and broke the bottom out. Don't worry about it.
