Reality Check: Anyone using pump-outs?

I have had my first boat, a Catalina 27, for four seasons, and we have been informed that we will not be invited back to our boat club (or our mooring) next season because the club thinks our boat clogs their pump-out pump! Of course, we only use marine-type TP, and do not put anything else in the holding tank unless we ate it first. In four seasons of crusing the Maine and NH coast, I have never seen another boat using a pump-out station. Nor have I had any problems using any other pump-out. We feel like we are being used as scapegoats for the club not being able to keep their pumps working. It hasn't worked about 1/4 of the times I have tried it. I have never had any problem at any other pump-out facility. We are not about to start doing what other boaters in our area have admitted to doing, which is directly discharging wherever they are. Can a boat cause the pump-out pump to fail? Is anyone besides me trying to use pump-out stations on the Maine coast? I want to do the right thing, and don't like getting kicked off my mooring for doing so. Grrr!

Doesn't make sense to me

If you're not clogging anything on your boat, it's a million to one that you'd be clogging up their pump out equipment. But since it's a private boat club's mooring, there may not be anything you can about being asked to leave, whether their reasons are valid or not.

You using the "blue stuff"?

I pumpout without problems. I use a generous amount of holding tank deoderizer. It seems to really help break stuff down and certaining eliminates order.

pumpouts

we routinely use pumpouts from salem to maine without any problems-we use Peggy's KO and CP, and have never had any problems-as Peggy said, you're much more likely to clog your system first! I'd talk to the club and try to find out why they think it's you
