I have a Flexible Furler on my 1988 Cat22. I think I have an original head sail on right now. It desperately needs replacement. UV Degradation as well as some tears through the stiching and the sail is almost usable when furled in higher wind conditions. I can't flatten the sail when furled. I am debating the whole purchase of a new sail right now! Catalina direct has an Ulman 135% Roller furler but I don't know how that compares to a Catalina stock version or North's version or...etc... I would love to hear your ideas on a good value RF 135% sail. I am even considering a good used! I am also very unfamiliar with the flexible roler furling system. Any tips on how I should unrig the existing sail and then re-rig with a new halyard and possibly a new sail?

Your Flexable Furler?

I have to answer your question with a question, Id your Flexable Furler a CDI or another Manufacture. If it's a CDI you can either write the company or go online or phone to get an instruction sheet that shows you step by step what to do, for just the reason you stated rigging a new sail. My Mark II has a Catalina factory headsail on it and I am very happy with it :) Dave
