Was at our boat (2000 Beneteau 361) last weekend and noticed that all (8) of the swiveling reading lights in the salon, forward berth, and aft berth were cracked. A few of them will no longer holded the front part of the lights with the bulb and lens in place. This just happened over the last few months. The lights are 12V halogon chrome fixtures. Any one know the manufacturer of these lights. I've sent email to Beneteau but I am looking for an alternate source. I am looking for exact replacements. TJ 00 361 3/4 Time

Had a similiar problem

TJ, I had mine crack over the winter 2003 on my 2000 361 and Beneteau replaced them. I had to pay for the new ones and when I sent the defective ones back to them they credited my credit card. I would give them a call as there must be some problem with these lights good luck Charlie Gruetzner

Thanks for the info

All the lights in my 2004 331 are cracked, and I was wondering where to begin to get them replaced. I called my dealer, and they said that they knew nothing about the problem. I did notice when I went to the Newport Boat show last month that the 2005 331 has reading lights with a different material for the shade portion of the light. I would guess that this has happened on virtually all the boats with the same type of chrome shade. Interesting that the dealer didn't know anything......
