Ok, got all the ceiling lights replaced with LED bulbs. Now doing he reading lamps, those high power halogen bulbs with LED replacements. I'm not at the boat and can't remember the size, anyone know if they're MR11 or MR16 bulbs?

I have replaced all my reading light bulbs with MR16 LED. I also replaced the reading lights because they were all cracked by the heat generated by the halogen bulb.
I have also replaced all ceiling lights with G4 bi-pin LED.
I have installed a power regulator that delivers 12.5Volts to the lights.

What did you use as replacement reading lights? I have a couple that are cracked/melted by the halogen bulbs and want to replace/upgrade them with LED.

The reading light fixtures themselves can no longer be bought from Beneteau, BUT Sea Dog makes an exact replacement - model Sea Dog 400565. Don't be fooled by the photo they show, it does have the holes for the screws through the mounting plate and they match up exactly. For some reason they are not in the photo. http://www.sea-dog.com/groups/1855-halogen-reading-light

I replaced the halogens in my reading lights with LEDs from Bill at Lighting Matrix. They are M16s. The LEDs from Bill have a constant current driver so you won't need a power regulator. They are very reasonable at $5 each + shipping. Make sure to get "warm white". http://lightingmatrix.com/

He also has the replacement LEDs for the overhead lights at $2 each. They are 1 watt G4's with 6 surface chips. You want warm white here as well.

While you are ordering LEDs, you should get one for your anchor light. Mine from Bill was $6.24. It has the dimpled ends instead of festoon style and his part # is LM-MLB03001. Cool white on this one.

I have had great luck with Marine Beam LED's. I replaced all the ceiling lights and reading lights. Very helpful support. Fast shipping. There was a 10% discount for Beneteau owners when I ordered.

I have a number of Marinebeam LED replacements (G4 and MR16) and can confirm that their constant current controller does not create EMI interference with my onboard electronics.

Btw, found a good replacement on Amazon. $5 each and I got right of them. They're working very good so far, totally satisfied. They're a warm color light, practically identical to the halogen bulbs.
