I have owned Catalinas, Hunters and a few other vessles over a period of 25 years and share my opinion about their capabilty and construction on this site. Although all of my input is very factual my recent posts contine to be deleted. While most owners love their Hunters it's obvious people who don't are not welcome to participate in this forum. I've read the guildlines, agree and obey but it seems only some opions are permitted here. Anyone else have their post deleted for having a different opinion?

Opinions are welcome, flaming isn't

Any post of yours with content remains on the board. However, those posts that are more about flaming or trolling than content are removed, in keeping with the forum guidelines. I am happy to continue this discussion with you offline. phil (at) sailboatowners.com

It's not what you say....

... it's the rude, callous way you say it. You are much more interested in insulting or angering people than in actually exchanging ideas or contributing to a discussion. You don't give a damn about anyone or anything in here, what you like is the excitement of being inflammatory. Lots of us regularly critize the Hunter line here, I do it all the time. However, I manage not to be a jackass about it, plus I contribute to the forum in positive ways, too. Perhaps you could become one of the "denizens" at cruisingworld.com. They have lots of people like you over there, so you'll be among friends.

I have...

...and after posting, realized that I was doing an inappropriate thing. I am now glad those posts are gone. My apologies to all! Opinions and disagreements about postings are completely tolerated. What are not are personal attacks on others, so it should be.

Thanks Phil

I had gotten to the point where I wouldn't read any comments by Daryl simply because of his arrogance. I agree with others that there is constructive criticism here.

leaving this thread here ................

says a lot about Phil since it violates the guidelines. No, I won't be joining his cult but the active members are listed below.

This forum has helped me out...

Three years ago, after twenty-nine years of racing "beach boats" I decided to move up (after starting a family). This board has been a real resource for me. I am sorry that you are having problems here, but I suspect that most do not.
