Arch Stuff
Yes Pat, We had the arch fabricated locally..Diameter of the tubes are 1.5 inches for the main structure...1.25 inches for the bracing, the "anti-rack" tubing around the back, which didn't work btw, is 1", and the 2 side bars on the top ends, are 1 " also, so I could mount antennas...We were orinally quoted $2300 for the arch...But with the latest "anti-rack" bracing, and the extra rings, we have $1775, in the arch itself...Wiring, and other stuff was all seperate...I ordered the solar pannels from Arizona Wind and Sun, the wind generator I got at a West Marine Tent sale up in Va Beach..(yes I do work for them, but that was before I was)..The lights are a pair of fog lights from Wally World, which aren't going to last very long, but they were 8 bucks, I'll replace them when I find something in a "marine ready state" I like...Stern light was mounted on the stansion for the pushput, we just relocated it..TV antenna is an off the shelf item in WM...Since that picture was taken I installed a spare Metz Marine VHF antenna also..(will use that for 2 meter Ham antenna unless I need it for VHF)We didn't put "stays" down to the transom, for a couple of reason..Diodn't seem needed, etc...Any other questions, or for phone numbers or other picture, hit me with an email..kc4jkw@gibralter.net73 Edbt
