Sounds good Dennis Thanks!
I will probably pick up a mooring in Eastport depending when I get there. later inthe month suits me.
If I arrive early I'll go up the creek and anchor for a few days.
I may even go to City Marina for a night or at the. very least try to buy a shower there or at city dock.
I will be coming fro NC so it will be hard for me to set things up but will be willing to go along with whatever appeals the rest.
I presume most of the folks are from the Chesapeake area so it will be a lot easier to meet in MD than NY. I have made the trip from Annapolis to NY and Mass. before and unless you are willing to go off shore and deal with Hells Gate etc.
Best stay within familiar cruising grouinds.

Oh did I mention I will be making the trip solo. My first mate is the primary care giver to her elderly parents.
Will be interesting although I have a great iteniary and have sailed the bay alone before, although I am a little older now. Will do it in short hops with no real schedule to keep.
Looking foward to the Eastern shore again and plan to visit Tangiers and Smith Island with lesss tha 4' draft should be no problem gettin in.
Stay well and keep me posted.
Regards
Gianni

I am going to suggest that a few of us accept the duties of local planning. I will be out of the country for awhile, but I can help in late May and June. I have a house on Lake Ogleton it and would be possible for a few boats to anchor in the lake at no cost [for the cheap ones], although I am sure that downtown would be more fun. The Boatyard Bar and Grill is a good place. Also, our community has a great picnic area overlooking the bay, not far from downtown if we wanted to have a barbecue. I am sure we could all come up with other ideas. I keep my boat [Unity, 1448] at the Chesapeake Yacht Club which is on the West River, which would be another good spot as there is ample anchoring space and docks for those with reciprocal options. Anyway, my phone number is 410-295-1631, and the email that my wife doesn't check is profdennismonk@...

HIi Dennis
Why not just decide on the weekend. We can all meet and have a social hour at a resturant
and plan from there.

Gianni,
Well, I am impressed! I have been thinking of single-handing as my wife is growing less enthusiastic about cruising. However, since I am turning 70 she is not enthusiastic about my single handing anything. I don't mind sailing the Vega with only the foresail which is easily controlled from the cockpit. Some days Unity sails as well with only one sail as with both. My main worry is crashing into something in the docking process. As I said earlier, you are more than welcome to make use of our house for whatever you need in the way of personal hygiene. Are you from NC? We have a cabin near Franklin in the Smokies, which is powerful competition for time on the Bay.

The main thing now is finding someone to be the Captain of the Reunion.
