I am about o take delivery of an O'Day 20. The boat is in great shape except for the interior cabin cushions. The fabric is torn in several places and I need to get them re-upolstered. I called one upolsterer and he said that each cushion would cost $300 to re-upolster. Geez. Seems I could buy new ones for that price. Can anyone recommend a solution to my problem? I live in the central Jersey shore area.

needle and thread..

many owners have sewing machines and make their own covers, just take the old one apart and use an a guide. some also add more foam and make the size adjustments for better sleeping. not really a hard job.
