Anyone repower their vision 32? If so did you rebuild or purchase a different engine?

Why would you? I had mine rebuilt due to a failed rod bolt. Ultimately got reimbursed. I would always consider a rebuild / repair before something like a Beta install, FWIW.

You have asked the $5-10k question! I'm considering a rebuild over a re-power for a number of reasons, the first of which is I don't think a fancy new YM series will fit in the Vision 32 engine compartment. I'm also probably not going to keep my V32 as long as @Rick D kept his , so it's likely not worth it to me to pony up the extra few thousand to re-power.

I am in the middle of a rebuild. Not doing the work myself. Chose to have a mechanic do the work. Just getting the engine out of the boat is a major project.

I feel the rebuild on a mature boat to be more practical than a repower with a new engine when possible.

Especially if the boat may be a short time boat.
