I have a 1977 catalina 30 with a Yanmar ysb12 that is not working and have some missing parts. I thinking of re-power with another engine either new or rebuilt. Has anyone had this experience, please let me know your experience.
A good engine for this boat is a Universal M-25XPB/26hp. Unfortunately, they run about $9,000+ which is about half the value of the boat. Any way you can resurrect your current engine? That would be your best bet. Good luck, Jeff
